Our story
Geo. Harris & Sons established in New York City in 1900 has been dedicated to offering truly extraordinary diamonds, precious and semiprecious stones and jewelry, combined with an unmatched personal experience. Earning our family business both international clients and recognition for over 4 generations.
Founded by Geo. Harris, an immigrant from Europe, Geo. Harris began his career on Canal Street in downtown NYC operating his jewelry business, buying, repairing and selling gold and platinum jewelry as well as diamonds, precious and semiprecious stones.
Opening his first storefront over 125 years ago, Geo. Harris & Sons has become one of the longest continuously operating family-owned jewelers in the United States.
Generation After Generation
The second generation of leadership was headed by Geo's son, Irving Harris. After Irving’s passing, his son Gary and son-in-law Abbie Werther took the helm of the firm until their retirement. Today, the firm is led by Gary’s son, Ross, a proud GIA graduate, guiding the company in its fourth generation of service.
With offices in New York City, Wilmington, DE, and South Florida, and a global reach, we are excited to continue growing and supporting the amazing communities and clients we serve.
